Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other  sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 KJV So what shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV We have also a more sure word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts;

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-2 KJV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Job 40:6-7 KJV Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Gird up thy lions now like a man; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

Job 42:4-7 KJV Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; but now mine eye seeth thee.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

And it will be so, that after the LORD spoke these words unto Job, the LORD said to E-li’-phaz the Te’-manite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my  servant Job hath.

Romans 10:14-17 KJV How then shall they call on him of whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be went? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For E-sa’-ias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Acts 26:17-18 KJV Delivering from thee the people, and from the Gen’-tiles, unto whom now I send thee,

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Sa’-tan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Romans 15:4-7 KJV For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Now the God patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Je’-sus;

That ye nay with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Je’-sus Christ.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Here is today’s message

Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools; for they consider not that they do evil.

Be not rash with they mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to enter any thing before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon the earth; therefore let thy words be few.

For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fools voice is known by multitude of words.

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pray it; for he hath no pleasure in fools; pay that which thou hast vowed.

Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin, neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error; wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities; but fear thou God.

Exodus 3:1-6 Now Mo’-ses kept the flock of Jeth’-ro his father in law, the priest of Mid’-i-an; and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Ho’-reb.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

And Mo’ses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Mo’ses, Mo’ses. And he said, Here am I.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither; put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of A’bra-ham, the God of I’-saac, and the God Ja’-cob. And Mo’ses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

1 Samuel 15:17-23 And Sam’-u-el said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Is’-ra-el, and the LORD anointed thee king over Is’-ra-el?

And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the A-mal’-ek-ites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

And Saul said unto Sam’-u-el, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought A’-gag the king of Am’-a-lek, and have utterly destroyed the A=mal’-ek-ites.

But the people took to the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gil’-gal.

And Sam’-u-el said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Proverbs 20:24-25 Man’s goings are of the LORD;how can a man then understand his own way?

It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.

Proverbs 10:18-22 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

The tongue of the just is as choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth.

The lips of the righteous feed many; but fools die for want of wisdom.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Acts 5:1-11 But a certain man named An-a-ni’-as, with Sap-phi’-ra his wife, sold a possession,

And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

But Pe’-ter said, An-a-ni’-as, why hath Sa’-tan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied to men, but unto God.

And An-a-ni’-as hearing these words fell down, and gave the ghost; and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

And Pe’-ter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? and she said, Yea, for so much.

Then Pe’-ter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Then fell she down straightaway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost; and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Proverbs 6:1-5 My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,

Thus art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with thy words of thy mouth.

Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

1 Corinthians 11:7-16 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

Judge in yourselves; is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is shame unto him?

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given her for a covering.

But if any man seem to be contentions, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.

For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
