Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, up to 40 versions of the Bible.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 CEB so is my word that comes from my mouth; it does not return to me empty. Instead, it does what I want, and accomplish what I intend.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 CEB Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character,

so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.

2 Peter 1:19-21 CEB In addition, we have a most reliable prophetic word, and you would do well to pay attention to it, just as you would to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Most important, you must know that no prophesy of scripture represents the prophet’s own understanding of things,

because no prophecy ever came by human will. Instead, men and women led by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-3 CEB Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind;

Who is this darkening counsel with words lacking knowledge?

Prepare yourself like a man; I will interrogate you, and you will respond to me.

A Challenge From the LORD

Job 40:6-7 CEB The LORD answered Job from the whirlwind;

Prepare yourself like a man; I will interrogate you, and you will respond to me.

Job 42:4-7 CEB You said, “Listen and I will speak; I will question you and you will inform me.

My ears had heard about you, but now my eyes have seen you.

Therefore I relent and find comfort on dust and ashes.

Epilogue

After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Teman, “I’m angry at you and your two friends because you haven’t spoken about me correctly as did my servant Job.

Romans 10:14-17 CEB So how can they call on someone they don’t have faith in? And how can they have faith in someone they haven’t heard of? And how can they hear without a preacher?

And how can they preach, unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the good news.

But everyone hasn’t obeyed the good news. As Isaiah says, Lord, who has had faith in our message?

So, faith comes from listening, but it’s listening by means of Christ’s message.

Acts 26:17-18 CEB I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles, I am sending you.

to open their eyes, Then they can turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, and receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are made holy by faith in me.

Romans 15:4-7 CEB Whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction so that we could have hope through endurance and through the encouragement of the scriptures.

May the God of endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward each order, similar to Christ Jesus’ attitude

That way you can glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ together with one voice.

So welcome each other, in the same way that Christ also welcomed you, for God’s glory.

Here is today’s message

Ruth 1:3 But Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died. Then only she was left, along with her two sons.

Ruth 1:9 May the LORD provide for you so that you may find security, each woman in the household of her husband.” Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept.

Ruth 1:11 Naomi replied, “Turn back, my daughters. Why would you go with me? Will there again be sons in my womb, that they would be husbands for you?

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to abandon you, to turn back from following after you. Wherever you go, I will be; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

Ruth 2:3 So she went; she arrived and she gleamed in the field behind the harvesters, By chance, it happened to be the portion of the field that belonged to Boaz, who was from the family of Elimelech.

Ruth 2:9 Keep your eyes on the field that they are harvesting and go along after them. I’ve ordered the young men not to assault you. Whenever you are thirsty, go to the jugs and drink from what the young men have filled.”

Ruth 2:11 Boaz responded to her, “Everything that you did for your mother-in-law after your husband’s death has been reported fully to me; how you left behind your father, your mother, and the land of your birth, and came to a people you hadn’t known beforehand.

Ruth 2:16 Also, pull out some from the bales for her and leave them behind for her to glean. And don’t scold her.”

Ruth 3:3 You should bathe, put on some perfume, wear nice clothes, and then go down  to the threshing floor. Don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking,

Ruth 3:9 “Who are you?” he asked. She replied, “I’m Ruth your servant. Spread out your robe over your servant, because you are a redeemer.”

Ruth 3:11 And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I’ll do for you everything you are asking. Indeed, my people–all who are at the gate–know that you are a woman of worth.

Ruth 3:16 She came to her mother-in-law, who said, “How are you, my daughter?” So Ruth told her everything the man had done for her.

Ruth 4:3 Boaz said to the redeemer, “Naomi, who has returned from the field of Moab, is selling the portion of the field that belonged to your brother Elimelech.

Ruth 4:9 Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, “Today you are witnesses that I’ve bought from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech and all that belonged to Chilion and Mahlon.

Ruth 4:11 Then all the people who were at the gate and the elders said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD grant that the woman who is coming into your household be like Rachel and like Leah, both of whom built up the house of Israel. May you be fertile in Ephrathah and may you preserve a name in Bethlehem.

Ruth 4:16 Naomi took the child and held him to her breast, and she became his guardian.
