Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other  sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 ETR In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 ETR All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live.

Using the Scriptures, those who serve God will be prepared and will have everything they need to do every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 ETR This makes us more sure about what the prophets said. And it is good for you to follow closely what they said, which is like a light shining in a dark place. You have that light until the day begins and the morning star brings new light to your minds.

Most important of all, you must understand this: No prophecy in the Scriptures comes from the prophet’s own understanding.

No prophecy ever came from what some person wanted to say. But people were led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

God Speaks to Job

Job 38:1-2 Then the Lord spoke to Job from a whirlwind and said,

“Who is this ignorant person saying these foolish things?

Job 40:6-7 Then the Lord spoke to Job again from the storm:

“Brace yourself and get ready to answer the questions I will ask you.

Job 42:4-7 You said to me, ‘Listen, and I will speak. I will ask you questions, and you will answer me.’

In the past I heard about you, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.

And I am ashamed of myself. I am so sorry. As I sit in the dust and ashes, I promise to change my heart and my life.”
The Lord Gives Job’s Wealth Back
After the Lord finished talking to Job, he spoke to Eliphaz from Teman. He said, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you did not tell the truth about me, as my servant Job did.

Romans 10:14-17 But before people can pray to the Lord for help, they must believe in him. And before they can believe in the Lord, they must hear about him. And for anyone to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them.

And before anyone can go and tell them, they must be sent. As the Scriptures say, “How wonderful it is to see someone coming to tell good news!”

But not all the people accepted that good news. Isaiah said, “Lord, who believed what we told them?”
So faith comes from hearing the Good News. And people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.

Acts 26:17-18 I will keep you safe from your own people and from the non-Jewish people, the ones I am sending you to.

You will make them able to understand the truth. They will turn away from darkness to the light. They will turn away from the power of Satan, and they will turn to God. Then their sins can be forgiven, and they can be given a place among God’s people—those who have been made holy by believing in me.’”

Romans 15:4-7 Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those things were written so that we could have hope. That hope comes from the patience and encouragement that the Scriptures give us.

All patience and encouragement come from God. And I pray that God will help you all agree with each other, as Christ Jesus wants.

Then you will all be joined together. And all together you will give glory to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ accepted you, so you should accept each other. This will bring honor to God.

Here is Today’s message

Ruth 1:3 Later, Naomi’s husband, Elimelech, died, so only Naomi and her two sons were left.

Ruth 1:9 I pray that the LORD will help each of you find a husband and a good home.” Naomi kissed her daughters-in-law and they all started crying.

Ruth 1:11 But Naomi said, “No, daughters, go back to your own homes. Why should you go with me? I can’t have any more sons to be your husbands.

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said, “Don’t  force me to leave you! Don’t force me to go back to my own people. Let me go with you. Whenever you go, I will go. Wherever you sleep, I will sleep. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.

Ruth 2:3 So Ruth went to the fields. She followed the workers who were cutting the grain and gathered the grain that was left. It happened that part of the field belonged to Boaz, the man from Elimelech’s family.

Ruth 2:9 Watch to see which fields they go into to cut the grain and follow them. I have warned the young men not to bother you. When you are thirsty, go and drink from the same water jug my men drink from.”

Ruth 2:11 Boaz answered her, “I know about all the help you have given to your mother-in-law Naomi. I know you helped her even after your husband died. And I know that you left your father and mother and your own country and came here to this country. You did not know anyone from this country, but you came here with Naomi.

Ruth 2:16 And make her work easier by dropping some full heads of grain for her. Let her gather that grain. Don’t tell her to stop.”

Ruth 3:3 Go wash yourself and get dressed. Put on a nice dress, and go down to the threshing floor. But don’t let Boaz see you until he has finished eating his dinner.

Ruth 3:9 Boaz said, “Who are you?” She said, “I am Ruth, your servant girl. Spread your cover over me. You are my protector.”

Ruth 3:11 Now, young woman. don’t be afraid. I will do what you ask. All the people in our town know that you are a very good woman.

Ruth 3:16 Ruth went to the home of her mother-in-law, Naomi. Naomi went to the door and asked, “Who’s there?” Ruth went in telling Naomi everything that Boaz did for her.

Ruth 4:3 Then Boaz spoke to Naomi’s close relative. He said, “Naomi came back from the hill country of Moab. She wants to sell the land that belonged to our relative Elimelech.

Ruth 4:9 Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses today that I am buying from Naomi everything that belonged to Elimelech, Kilion, and Mahlon.

Ruth 4:11 So all the elders and the people who were near the city gates said, “We are witnesses to all of this. And may the LORD bless this woman who is coming  into your home to be like Rachel and Leah, They are the ones who had many children to make the people of Israel strong. And may you become powerful in the tribe of Ephrathah and famous in Bethlehem!

Ruth 4:16 Naomi took the boy, held him in her arms, and cared for him.
