Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 RSV so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish what I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16 RSV All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 RSV And we have the prophetic word made more sure. You will do well to pay attention as to a lamb shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,

because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved of God by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-2 RSV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:

“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

Job 40:6-7 RSV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind;

“Gird up your loins like a man; I will question you, and you declare to me.

Job 42:4-7 RSV ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you declare to me.’

I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee;

therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to E-li’-phaz the Te’-ma-nite: “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.

Romans 10:14-17 RSV But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?

And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!”

But they have not all heeded the gospel; for I-sai’ah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.

Acts 26:17-18 RSV delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles–to whom I send you

to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Romans 15:4-7 RSV For whatever was written if former days was written for our instruction, by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,

that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Here is Today’s message

Ruth 1:3 But E-lim’-e-lech, the husband of Na’-o-m, died, and she was left with her two sons.

Ruth 2:11 But Bo’-az answered her, “All that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband  has been fully told me, and how you left your father and mother and your native land and came to a people that you did not know before.

Ruth 2:16 And also pull out some from the bundles for her, and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her.”

Ruth 3:11 And know, my daughter, do not fear, I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of worth.

Ruth 4:3 Then he said to the next of kin, “Na’o-mi, who has come back from the country of Mo’-ab, is selling the parcel of land which belongs to our kinsman, E-lim’e-lech.

Ruth 4:9 Then Bo’az said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Na’o-mi all that belonged to E’lim’-e-lech and all that belonged to Chil’-i-on and to Mah’lon.

Ruth 4:11 Then all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Le’ah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you prosper in Eph’ra-thah and be renowned in Bethlehem;

Ruth 4:16 Then Na’o-mi took the child and laid him in her bosom, and became his nurse.
