Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 LP So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 LP All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 LP And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is on any private interpretation,

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

The LORD Reveals His Omnipotence to Job

Job 38:1-2 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;

“Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?

God’s Challenge to Job

Job 40:6-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;

“Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me;

Job 42:4-7 Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’

“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees you.

Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

Israel Rejects the Gospel

Romans 10:14-17 How then shall they call of Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?”

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Acts 26:17-18 ‘I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

‘to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Romans 15:4-7 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Glorify God Together

Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.

Here is Today’s message

Everything Has It’s Time

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted.

A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;

A time to weep. And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to gain, And time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;

A time to tear, And time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;

A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace,

Injustice  Seems to Prevail

Ecclesiastes 3:16-17 Moreover I saw under the sun: In the place of judgment, Wickedness was there; And in the place of righteousness, Iniquity was there,

I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God, This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Ecclesiastes 8:6 Because for every matter there is a time and judgment, Though the misery of man increases greatly.

Genesis 37:29-33 Then Reuben returned to the pit, an indeed Joseph was not in the pit; and he tore his clothes.

And he returned to his brothers and said, ” The lad is no more; and I, where shall I go?”

So they took Joseph’s tunic, killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the tunic in the blood.

Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic of not?”

And he recognized it and said, “It is m son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without Doubt Joseph was torn to pieces.”

A Song of Miriam

Exodus 15:20-21 Then Miriam the prophetess and sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

And Miriam answered them: “Sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!”

Exodus 20:12-17“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

“You shall not murder.

“You shall not commit adultery.

“You shall not steal.

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbors.”

Esther 4:14 “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews form another place, but you and you father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

David’s Mourning for Abner

2 Samuel 3:31-32 Then David said to Joab and all the people who were them, “Tear your clothes, gird yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn for Abner.” And Kind David followed the coffin.

So they buried Abner in Hebron; and the king lifted his voice and wept at the grave of Abner, and all the people wept.

David, Bathsheba, and Uriah

2 Samuel 11:1  It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah, David remained at Jerusalem.

2 Kings 3:25 Then they destroyed the cities, and each man threw a stone on every good piece of land and filled it; and they stopped up all the springs of water and cut down all the good trees. But they left the stones of Kir Haraseth intact. However the slingers surrounded and attacked it.

2 Kings 7:15 And they went after them to the Jordan; and indeed all the road was full of garments and weapons which the Syrians had thrown away in their haste. So the messengers returned and told the king,

Lamentations 3:37-39 Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it?

It is not from the mouth of the Most High That woe and well-being proceed?

Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?

Job 14:5 Since his day are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.

Proverbs 15:23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold. Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.

Isaiah 2:20-21 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats,

To go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When he arises to shake the earth mightily.

Jonah 1:5 Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.

Amos 5:12-17 For I know your manifold transgressions And you mighty sins; Afflicting the just and taking bribes; Diverting the poor from justice at the gate.

Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time.

Seek good and not evil, That you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you, As you have spoken.

Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the Lord God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

The Day of the LORD

There fore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this: “There shall be wailing in all streets, And they shall say in all the highways, Alas! Alas!’ They shall call the farmer to mourning, And skillful lamenters to wailing.

In all vineyards there shall be wailing, For I will pass through you.” Says the LORD.

A Call to Repentance

Hosea 6:1 Come and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but he will bind us up.

Joel 2:15-17 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;

Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.

Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples ‘Where is their God?'”

Matthew 5:3-12  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Christ Brings Division

Matthew 10:34-36 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth, I did not come to bring peace but a sword.

“For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;

” and a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

Matthew 19:28-30 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, where the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

“But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Luke 14:26-27 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

“And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple,

Romans 12:14-21 Blessed those who persecute you;  bless and do not curse.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Do not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive one another except  with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Order in Church Meetings

1 Corinthians 14:26-32 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue has a revelation, has an interpretation, Let all things be done for edification.

If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret.

But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God.

Let two or three prophets speak, and let others judge.

But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent,

For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all be be encouraged.

And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

to redeem those who were under the law. that we might receive the adoption of sons.

that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

who is the guarantee of our inheritance until redemption of the purchased possession to the praise of His glory.

Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin and salvation.

1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
