Genesis 1:1-5 First Seven Days-Day 1 ESV

The Creation of the World

Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

And God saw that the light was good. And God separately  the light from the darkness

God called the the light Day, and the darkness Night, And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

The Word Became Flesh

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it,

John 1:14-18 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, as we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

(John bore witness about him, and cried out. “This was he of whom I said, ‘He whom comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'”)

For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

No one has ever seen God, the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one.”

John 3:13-21 No one has into heaven except he who descended fro heaven, the Son of Man.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up.

that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

For God So Loved the World

For God so loved  the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not  believed in the name of the only Son of God.

And this is the judgement the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

The Preeminence of Christ

Colossians 1:15-18 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation,

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things were created through him and for him.

And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life  in is his Son,

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

That You May Know

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. Ans let them be for signs and for season, and for days and years,

2 Corinthians 4:5-6 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants fro Jesus’ sake.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The River of Life

Revelation 22:1-5 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month, The leaves of the tree were of the healing of the nations.

No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

They will see his face, and his name will on their foreheads.

And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
