Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other  sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 KJV So what shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV We have also a more sure word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts;

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-2 KJV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Job 40:6-7 KJV Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Gird up thy lions now like a man; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

Job 42:4-7 KJV Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; but now mine eye seeth thee.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

And it will be so, that after the LORD spoke these words unto Job, the LORD said to E-li’-phaz the Te’-manite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my  servant Job hath.

Romans 10:14-17 KJV How then shall they call on him of whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be went? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For E-sa’-ias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Acts 26:17-18 KJV Delivering from thee the people, and from the Gen’-tiles, unto whom now I send thee,

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Sa’-tan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Romans 15:4-7 KJV For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Now the God patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Je’-sus;

That ye nay with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Je’-sus Christ.

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Here is today’s message

John 21:3-14 Si’-mon Pe’-ter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him. We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

But when the morning was now come, Je’-sus stood on the shore; but the disciples knew not that it was Je’-sus.

Then Je’-sus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

Therefore that disciple whom Je’-sus loved saith unto Pe’-ter, It is the Lord. Now when Si’-mon Pe’-ter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

Je’-sus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

Si’-mon Pe’-ter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three; and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

Je’-sus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

Je’-sus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

This is now the third time that Je’-sus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead,

Matthew 4:18-22 And Je’-sus, walking by the sea of Gal’-i-lee, saw two brethren, Si’-mon called Pe’-ter, and An’-drew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zeb’-e-dee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zeb’-e-dee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

John 20:14-18 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Je’-sus standing, and knew not that it was Je-sus.

Je’-sus saith unto her, Woman, why weepth thou? whom seeketh thou? She, suppossing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

Je’-sus saith unto her, Ma’-ry. She turned herself, and saith unto him. Rab-bo’-ni; which is to say, Master.

Je’-sus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Ma’-ry Mag’-da-lene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Luke 24:36-43 And as they thus spake, Je’-sus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen s spirit.

And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself, handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

And he took it, and did eat before them.

Luke 5:1-11 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gen-nes’-a-ret,

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fisherman were gone out of them, and washing their nets.

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Si’-mon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a kittle from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Si’-mon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
And Si’-mon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: never-theless at thy word I will let down the net.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

When Si’-mon Pe’-ter saw it, he fell down at Je’-sus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zeb’-e-dee, which were partners with Si’-mon. And Je’-sus said unto Si’-mon, Fear not, from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

John 18:15-18 And Si’-mon Pe’-ter followed Je’-sus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Je’-sus into the palace of the high priest.

But Pe’-ter stood at the door without. Then went out the other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Pe’-ter.

Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Pe’-ter, Art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? He saith, I am not.

And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold; and they warmed themselves; and Pe’-ter stood with them, and warmed himself.

John 6:9-14 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

And Je’-sus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was so much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand,

And Je’-sus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Je’-sus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
