Responding to questions
I would suggest before reading this Bible message that you would please read the About the Blog tab. The purpose of this site is to take questions in the Bible and only use Scripture to answer the question.
Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions.
If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible.
The only technical information I have is being obedient to what God puts on my heart to do. God gave me the help that I needed all along the way. He will help me when there are any issues of compatibility for you to read the stories. I also have a person I contact with any changes that need to be made.
Isaiah 55:11 Quest NIV so is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty; but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Quest NIV All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:19-21 Quest NIV We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
The LORD Speaks
Job 38:1-3 Quest NIV Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm. He said;
“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?
Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
Job 40:6-7 Quest NIV Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm;
“Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
Job 42:4-7 Quest NIV “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question, and you shall answer me.’
My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.
Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”
After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.
Romans 10:14-17 Quest NIV How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written; “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Acts 26:17-18 Quest NIV I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them
to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Romans 15:4-7 Quest NIV For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
Here is Today’s Message
Paul the Minister to the Gentiles
Romans 15:14-21 I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me
to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.
I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done—
by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I wold not be building on someone else’s foundation.
Rather, as it is written; “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
Thanksgiving and Prayer
Ephesians 1:15-19 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
i pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he had called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
Romans 11:13-14 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry
in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are,
so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Therefore, as it is written; “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
Acts 15:12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
Acts 21:18-21 The next day Paul and the rest of us went to see James, and all the elders were present.
Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God has done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul; “You see, brother, how many thousand of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law,
They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.
Acts 2:18-21 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,’
The Suffering and Glory of the Servant
Isaiah 52:13-15 See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Just as they were many who were appalled at him—his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness–
so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
