Psalm 108:1-9 Comparing From NKJV Reader’s, NLT I Worship Daily Devo, HCSB Experiencing GOD, CJSB, NEB

Assurance of GOD’s Victory over Enemies

Psalm 108:1-9 NKJV Reader’s O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.

For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth;

That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me.

God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succoth.

Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.

Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.”

Ephesians 5:13-20 NKJV Reader’s But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

Therefore He says; “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

See than that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,

redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV Reader’s Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

Psalm 108:1-9 NLT I Worship Daily Devo My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder can sing your praises! Wake up, my soul!

Wake up, O harp and lyre! will waken the dawn with my song.

will thank you, LORD, in front of all the people. will sing your praises among the nations.

For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

Use your strong right arm to save me, and rescue your beloved people.

God has promised this by his holiness; “will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim will produce my warriors, and Judah will produce my kings.

Moab will become my lowly servant, and Edom will be my slave. will shout in triumph over the Philistines.”

Ephesians 5:13-20 NLT I Worship Daily Devo But when the light shines on them, it becomes clear how evil these things are.

And where your light shines, it will expose their evil deeds. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

Living by the Spirit’s Power

So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise.

Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days.

Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you.

Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts.

And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Future Glory For Jerusalem

Isaiah 60:1-2 NLT I Worship Daily Devo “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the LORD is shining upon you.

Darkness as black as night will cover all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the LORD will shine over you.

A Plea For Victory

Psalm 108:1-9 HCSB Experiencing GOD My heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of by being.

Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.

I will praise you, LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.

For your faithful love is higher than the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

God, be exalted above the heavens, and let your glory be over the whole earth.

Save with your right hand and answer me so that those you love may be rescued.

God has spoken in his sanctuary; “I will celebrate! I will divide up Shechem. I will apportion the Valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is my helmet; Judah is my scepter.

Moab is my washbasin; I throw my sandal on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia.”

Ephesians 5:13-20 HCSB Experiencing GOD Everything exposed by the light is made visible,

for what makes everything visible is light. Therefore it is said: Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

Consistency in the Christian Life

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk–not as unwise people but as wise–

making the most of the time, because the days are evil.

So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless living, but be filled by the Spirit;

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord,

giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The Lord’s Glory in Zion

Isaiah 60:1-2 HCSB Experiencing GOD Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD shines over you.

For look, darkness will cover the earth, and total darkness the peoples; but the LORD will shine over you, and his glory will appear over you.

Psalm 108:1-9 CJSB My heart is steadfast, God. will sing and make music with my glory.

Awake, lute and lyre! will awaken the dawn.

I will thank you, ADONAI, among the peoples; will make music to you among the nations.

For your grace is great, above heaven, and your truth, all the way to the skies.

Be exalted, God, above heaven! May your glory be over all the earth,

in order that those you love can be rescued; so save with your right hand, and answer me!

God in his holiness spoke, and took joy [in his promise]: “I will divide Sh’khem and determine the shares in the Sukkot Valley.

Gil’ad is mine and M’nasheh mine, Efrayim my helmet, Y’hudah my scepter.

Mo’av is my washpot; on Edom I throw my shoe; Over P’leshet shout in triumph.”

Ephesians 5:13-20 CJSB But everything exposed to the light is revealed clearly for what it is,

since anything revealed is a light. This is why it says, “Get up, sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you!”

Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life–live wisely, not unwisely.

Use your time well, for these are evil days.

So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is.

Don’t get drunk with wine, because it makes you lose control. Instead, keep on being filled with the Spirit–

sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to each other; sing to the Lord and make music in your heart to him;

always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Isaiah 60:1-2 CJSB “Arise, shine [Yerushalayim], for your light has come, the glory of ADONAI has risen over you.

For although darkness covers the earth and think darkness the peoples; on you ADONAI will rise; over you will be seen his glory.

Psalm 108:1-9 NEB My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I will sing and raise a psalm; awake, my spirit,

awake, lute and harp, will awake at dawn of day.

I will confess thee, O LORD, among the peoples, among the nations will raise a psalm to thee;

for thy unfailing love is wider than the heavens and thy truth reaches to the skies.

Show thyself, O God, high above the heavens; let thy glory shine over all the earth.

Deliver those that are dear to thee; save with thy right hand and answer.

God has spoken from his sanctuary: (or in his holiness) “I will go up now and measure out Shechem; will divide the valley of Succoth into plots;

Gilead and Manasseh are mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my sceptre;

Moab is my wash-bowl, fling my shoes at Edom; Philistia is the target of my anger.’

Ephesians 5:13-20 NEB But everything, when once the light has shown up, is illuminated, and everything thus illuminated is all light. And so the hymn says;

“Awake, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you.’

Be most careful then how you conduct yourselves; like sensible men, not like simpletons.

Use the present opportunity to the full, for these are evil days.

So do not be fools, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is.

Do not give way to drunkenness and the dissipation that goes with it, but let the holy Spirit fill you:

speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and songs; sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord;

and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ gives thanks every day for everything to our God and Father.

Promise of the new Jerusalem

Isaiah 60:1-2 NEB Arise, Jerusalem, rise clothed in light; your light has come and the glory of the LORD shines over you.

For, though darkness covers the earth and dark night the nations, the LORD shall shine upon you and over you shall his glory appear;
