Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, up to 40 versions of the Bible.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 CEB so is my word that comes from my mouth; it does not return to me empty. Instead, it does what I want, and accomplish what I intend.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 CEB Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character,

so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.

2 Peter 1:19-21 CEB In addition, we have a most reliable prophetic word, and you would do well to pay attention to it, just as you would to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Most important, you must know that no prophesy of scripture represents the prophet’s own understanding of things,

because no prophecy ever came by human will. Instead, men and women led by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-3 CEB Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind;

Who is this darkening counsel with words lacking knowledge?

Prepare yourself like a man; I will interrogate you, and you will respond to me.

A Challenge From the LORD

Job 40:6-7 CEB The LORD answered Job from the whirlwind;

Prepare yourself like a man; I will interrogate you, and you will respond to me.

Job 42:4-7 CEB You said, “Listen and I will speak; I will question you and you will inform me.

My ears had heard about you, but now my eyes have seen you.

Therefore I relent and find comfort on dust and ashes.

Epilogue

After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Teman, “I’m angry at you and your two friends because you haven’t spoken about me correctly as did my servant Job.

Romans 10:14-17 CEB So how can they call on someone they don’t have faith in? And how can they have faith in someone they haven’t heard of? And how can they hear without a preacher?

And how can they preach, unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the good news.

But everyone hasn’t obeyed the good news. As Isaiah says, Lord, who has had faith in our message?

So, faith comes from listening, but it’s listening by means of Christ’s message.

Acts 26:17-18 CEB I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles, I am sending you.

to open their eyes, Then they can turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, and receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are made holy by faith in me.

Romans 15:4-7 CEB Whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction so that we could have hope through endurance and through the encouragement of the scriptures.

May the God of endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward each order, similar to Christ Jesus’ attitude

That way you can glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ together with one voice.

So welcome each other, in the same way that Christ also welcomed you, for God’s glory.

Here is today’s message

Luke 24:46-49 He said to them, “This is what is written: the Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

and a change of heart and life for the forgiveness of sins must be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

You are witnesses of these things.

Look, I’m sending to you what my Father promised, but you are to stay in the city until you have been furnished with heavenly power.”
