Responding to questions
Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.
If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:19-21 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
knowing this first, that no prophesy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for prophesy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Hoy Spirit.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
The LORD Reveals His Omnipotence
Job 38:1-3 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;
“Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
God’s Challenge to Job
Job 40:6-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;
“Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me;
Job 42:4-7 Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”
And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.
Israel Rejects the Gospel
Romans 10:14-17 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. or Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?”
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Acts 26:17-18 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,
to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Romans 15:4-7 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Glorify God Together
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
Here is Today’s Message
Psalm 60:6-8 God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succuth,
Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.
Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Philistia, shout in triumph because of Me.”
Psalm 89:30-35 “If his sons forsake My law And do not walk in My judgments,
If they break My statues And do not keep My commandments,
Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.
Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.
My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David;
Genesis 12:4-9 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had acquired, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to land of Canaan.
Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land.
Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “to your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.
So Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South.
Joshua 13:27-28 and in the valley Beth Haran, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as its border, as far as the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth, on the other side of the Jordan eastward.
This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and their villages.
Deuteronomy 33:17 His glory is like a firstborn bull, And his horns like the horns of the wild oc; Together with them He shall push the peoples To the ends of the earth; They are the ten thousands of Ephraim, And they are the thousands of Manasseh.”
David’s Further Conquests
2 Samuel 8:1-3 After this it came to pass that David attacked the Philistines and subdued them. And David took Metheg Ammah from the hand of the Philistines.
Then he defeated Moab. Forcing them down to the ground, he measured them off with a line. With two lines he measured off those to be put to death, and with one full line those to be kept slive. So the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought tribute.
David also defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his territory at the River Euphrates.
2 Samuel 8:14 He also put garrisons in Edom, throughout all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the LORD preserved David wherever he went.
