Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other  sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 CSBM so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 CSBM All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,

so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 CSBM We also have the prophetic word strongly confirmed, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Above all, you know this; No prophesy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation,

because no prophesy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

The LORD Speaks

Job 38:1-2 CSBM Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind. He said;

Who is this who obscures my counsel with ignorant words?

Job 40:6-7 CSBM Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind;

Get ready to answer me like a man; When I question you, you will inform me.

Job 42:4-7 CSBM You said, “Listen now, and I will speak. When I question you, you will inform me.”

I had heard reports about you, but now my eyes have seen you.

Therefore, I reject my words and am sorry for them; I am dust and ashes.

After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite. “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.

Israel’s Rejection of the Message

Romans 10:14-17 CSBM How, then, can, they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.

But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?”

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

Acts 26:17-18 CSBM I will rescue you from your people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them

to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Romans 15:4-7 CSBM For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the scriptures.

Now may the God who fives endurance and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, according to Christ Jesus,

so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one mind and one voice.

Glorifying God Together

Therefore accept one another, just as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.

Here is today’s message

The Spirit of Truth and the spirit of Error

1 John 4:1-3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

This is how you know the Spirit of God; Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is  the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming; even now it is already in the world.

Order in Church Meeting

1 Corinthians 14:26-33 What then, brothers and sisters? Whenever you come together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, another tongue, or an interpretation. Everything is to be done for building up.

If anyone speaks in another tongue, there are to be only two, or at the most three, each in turn, and let someone interpret.

But if there is no interpreter, that person is to keep silent in the church and speak to himself and God.

Two or three prophets should speak, ands the others should evaluate.

But if something has been revealed to another person sitting there, the first prophet should be silent.

For you can all prophesy one by one, so that everyone may learn and everyone may be encouraged.

and the prophets’ spirits are subject to the prophets,

since God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

Diversity of Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:1-3 Now concerning spiritual gifts; brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware.

You know that when you were pagans, you used to be enticed and led astray by mute idols.

Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
