Responding to questions

Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.

If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.

Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21 So we have the prophetic message more fully confirmed. You will do well to be attentive to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

First of all you must understand this, that no prophesy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,

because no prophesy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

How to hear and understand the Gospel

Job 38:1-3 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind;

“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

Gird up your loins like a man, I will question you, and you shall declare to me.

Job 40:6-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind;

“Gird up your loins like a man; I will question you, and you declare to me,

Job 42:4-7 ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you declare to me.’

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you;

therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite; “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.

Romans 10:14-17 But how are they to call on me in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him?

And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! ”

But not all have obeyed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

Acts 26:17-18 I will rescue you from your people and from the Gentiles–to whom I am sending you

to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”

Romans 15:4-7 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scripture we might have hope.

May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus,

so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Here is Today’s Message

Hebrews 6:9-20 Even though we speak in this way, beloved, we are confident of better things in your case, things that belong to salvation.

For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.

And we want each one of you to show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope to the very end,

so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

When God made a promise to Abraham, because he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself,

saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply you.”

And thus Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise.

Human beings, of course, swear by someone greater than themselves, and an oath given as conformation puts an end to all dispute.

In the same way, when God desired to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it by an oath,

so thar through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible that God would prove false, we who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to seize the hope set before us.

We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain,

where Jesus, a forerunner on our behalf, has entered, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

1 Timothy 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

1 Peter 1:3-10 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,

who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time,

In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while while you have had to suffer various trials,

so that the genuineness of your faith–being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire–may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that was to be yours made careful search and inquiry.

Colossians 1:3-10 In our prayers for you we always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints,

because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. You have heard of this hope before in the word of the truth, the gospel

that has come to you. Just as it is bearing fruit and growing in the whole world, so it has been bearing fruit among yourselves from the day you heard it and truly comprehended the grace of God.

This you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant. He is faithful minister of Christ on your behalf,

and he has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work as you grow in the knowledge of God.

Romans 4:23-25 Now the words, “It was reckoned to him,” were written not for his sake alone,

but for ours also. It will be reckoned to us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,

who was handed over to death for our trespasses and was raised for our justification.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,

and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

Romans 15:4-7 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 15:12-13 and again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse shall come, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; on him the Gentiles shall hope.”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 1:24-29 I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am completing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church.

I became its servant according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,

the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints.

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

It is he whom we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

For this I toil and struggle with al the energy that he powerfully inspires within me.

Ephesians 4:7-10 But each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Therefore it is said, “When he ascended on high he made captivity itself a captive; he gave gifts to his people.”

(When it says, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth?

He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.)

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 But we must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first fruits for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope,

comfort your hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word.
