Responding to questions
Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.
If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:19-21 NKJV And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
Job 38:1-3 NKJV Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;
“Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
Now prepare yourself like a man, I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
Job 40:6-7 NKJV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
“Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me:
Job 42:4-7 NKJV Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees you.
Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”
And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant job has.
Romans 10:14-17 NKJV How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written; “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Acts 26:17-18 NKJV ‘I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,
‘to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Romans 15:4-7 NKJV For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
Here is Today’s Message
Genesis 12:1-3 Now the LORD had said to Abram; “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Acts 6:8-15 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.
Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedman (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen.
And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.
Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”
And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.
They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law;
“for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”
And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.
Acts 7:1-8 Then the high priest said, “Are these things so?”
And he said, “Brethren and fathers, listen; The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,
“and said to him, ‘Get out of your country and from the relatives, and come to a land that I will show you.’
“Then he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was dead, He moved him to this land in which you now dwell.
“And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.
“But God spoke in this way; that his descendants would dwell in a foreign land, and that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them four hundred years.
‘And the nation to whom they will be in bondage I will judge,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall come out and serve Me in this place.’
“Then He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eight day; and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot the twelve patriarchs.
Genesis 13:5-13 Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents.
Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.
And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abrams’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land.
So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.
“Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me, If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.”
And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.
Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they they separated from each other.
Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom.
But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the LORD.
Deuteronomy 26:1-11 “And it shall be, when you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it,
“that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the LORD your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the LORD your God chooses to make His name abide.
“And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, ‘I declare today to the LORD your God that I have come to the country which the LORD swore to your father’s to give us.’
“Then the priest shall take the basket out of your hand and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.
“And you shall answer and say before the LORD your God; ‘My father was a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and dwelt there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous.
‘But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us.
‘Then we cried out to the LORD God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression.
‘So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.
‘He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”;
‘and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O LORD, have given me. ‘Then you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God.
“So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God, has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.
Numbers 24:5-9 “How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel!
Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the riverside, Like aloes planted by the LORD, Like cedars beside the waters.
He shall pour water from his buckets, And his seed shall be in many waters. “His king shall be higher than Agag, And his kingdom shall be exalted.
“God brings him out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox; He shall consume the nations, his enemies; He shall break their bones And pierce them with his arrows.
“He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him?’ “Blessed is he who blesses you, And cursed is he who curses you.”
