Responding to questions
Note that I am the only person typing or copy and pasting these messages at this time. If I spend time doing messages on other sites I will get behind on adding more studies in multiple versions, formats of sharing the gospel, and languages.
If the first version that you try to read is difficult to understand check for another version of the same study on this site that might be easier to read. If you want more information about the study that has a question in the title read the verses around the Question and Answer in the Bible. The same goes for all the formats of sharing the gospel messages on this site.
Isaiah 55:11 RSV so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; It shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish what I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
2 Timothy 3:16 RSV All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:19-21 RSV And we have the prophetic word made more sure. You will do well to pay attention as to a lamb shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,
because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved of God by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
Job 38:1-2 RSV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:
“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 40:6-7 RSV Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind;
“Gird up your loins like a man; I will question you, and you declare to me.
Job 42:4-7 RSV ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you declare to me.’
I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees thee;
therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”
After the LORD had spoken these words to Job, the LORD said to E-li’-phaz the Te’-ma-nite: “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.
Romans 10:14-17 RSV But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?
And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!”
But they have not all heeded the gospel; for I-sai’ah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?
So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.
Acts 26:17-18 RSV delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles–to whom I send you
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
Romans 15:4-7 RSV For whatever was written if former days was written for our instruction, by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God; to draw near to listen is better than to offer sacrifice of fools; for they do not know that they are doing evil.
Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven, and you upon earth; therefore let your words be few.
For a dream comes with much business, and a fool’s voice with many words.
When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it; for he has pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.
It is better that you should not vow then that you should vow and not pay.
Let not your mouth led you into sin, ands do not say before before the messenger that it was a mistake; why should God be angry at your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?
For when dreams increase, empty words grow many; but do you fear God.
Exodus 3:1-6 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jeth’ ro, the priest of Mid’i-an; and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness, and came to Ho’ reb, the mountain of God.
And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and lo, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
And Moses said, “I will turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”
When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
Then he said, “Do not come near; put off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
1 Samuel 15:17-23 And Samuel said, “Though you are little in your own eyes, are you not the head of the tribes of Israel? The LORD anointed you king over Israel,
And the LORD sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go, utterly destroy the sinners, the A-mal’e-kites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’
Why then did you not obey the voice of the LORD? Why did you swoop on the spoil, and do what was evil in the sight of the LORD?”
And Saul said to Samuel, “I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, I have gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, I have brought A’gag the king of Am’a-lek, and I have utterly destroyed the A-mal’e-kites.
But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the best of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gil’-gal.”
And Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken that the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry, Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.”
Proverbs 20:24-25 A man’s steps are ordered by the LORD; how then can man understand his way?
It is a snare from a man to say rashly, “it is holy,” and to reflect only after making his vows.
Proverbs 10:18-22 He who conceals hatred has lying lips, and he who utters slander is a fool.
When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the mind of the wicked is of little worth.
The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.
The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
Acts 5:1-11 But a man named An-a-ni’ as with his wife Sap-phi’ra sold a piece of property.
and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back some of the proceeds, and brought only a part and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
But Peter said, “An-a-ni’ as, why has Satan filed your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land?
While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
When An-a-ni’ as heard these words, he fell down and died. And great fear came upon all who heard of it.
The young men rose and wrapped him up and carried him out and buried him.
After an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
And Peter said to her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much.” And she said, “Yes, for so much.”
But Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Hark, the feet of those that have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”
Immediately she fell down at his feet and died. When the young men came in and they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
And great fear came upon the whole church, and upon all who heard of these things.
Proverbs 6:1-5 My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor, have given your pledge for a stranger;
if you are snared in the utterance of your lips, caught in the words of your mouth;
then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into your neighbor’s power; go, hasten, and importune your neighbor.
Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids no slumber;
save yourself like a gazelle from the hunter, like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
1 Corinthians 11:7-16 For a man ought not to cover his head, since h is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man
(For man was not made from woman, but woman from man.
Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.)
That is why a woman ought to have a veil on her head, because of the angels.
(Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman;
for as woman was made for man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.)
Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Does not nature itself teach you tat for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him,
but if a woman has long hair, is it her pride? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
If any one is disposed to be contentious, we recognize no other practice, nor do the churches of God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 The end of the matter; all has been heard, Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.
For God will bring every deed into judgement, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
